UCF Aluminum Engine Skid Plate for '97-'02 TJ (2.5L)

Aluminum engine skid for the 2.5L '97–'02 TJ.

This aluminum engine skid plate protects the oil pan and transmission on your 4-cylinder 2.5L '97–'02 TJ. Its steel struts bolt straight to the frame, so it doesn't need the small frame brackets.

Built to take a beating

• Laser cut from 1/4" thick 6061-T6 aluminum plate
• Formed on a press brake with radius tooling to retain the strength of the material in the bend region
• Strong enough to support the entire weight of the front half of the vehicle if necessary
• Skid plate weighs only 10 lbs; the complete kit weighs 15 lbs
• 2 sets of mounting holes on the front side give you different mounting locations, so you can take advantage of the clearance from a motor mount lift

What's included: skid plate, all needed mounting hardware, and the steel struts that attach the front of the skid to the frame. On the 2.5L the struts bolt straight to the frame, so it doesn't need the small frame brackets that come with other UCF engine skids.

Install notes

• You will need to drill your transfer case skid plate, including a factory skid, for the rear mounting hardware (7/16" drill bit).
• This skid may fit other manufacturers' transfer case skid plates. No guarantee is made that it will be compatible with stock or other aftermarket transfer case skids.

Finish: all parts ship bare of coatings.
