UCF Ram 3500 Mega Cab Long-Bed Conversion Kit (4th & 5th Gen)

A frame stretch stronger than the factory sections it replaces.

We designed this kit so competent fabrication shops can stretch the frame of a 4th or 5th generation Ram 3500 for a long bed. It adds 22" of bed space and 20" of wheelbase, with the stretch taking place in two places on the rear half of the frame.

Construction and specs

• A combination of 1/4" and 3/16" ASTM A572 Grade 50 steel plate, the same grade of steel OEM truck frames are made from
• Designed in 3D CAD with FEA analysis to be stronger than the factory frame sections, with more weld surface for a large factor of safety
• All front extension intersections reinforced with 1/4" plate to double-reinforce the seams
• Rear side of the front extension reinforced to the factory gooseneck hitch box to keep everything square and strong under the most demanding loads
• Total kit weight: approximately 145 lbs

What's included: the complete frame extension kit, ready to assemble, a new set of front spring hangers (for the front of the rear leaf springs), and printed and PDF instructions that show the installer where to cut and give the reassembly dimensions.

Finish: ships raw, with no paint or powder coat, so you can finish it however you like.

Fitment: confirmed vehicles

• Ram: 3500 2010–present (leaf-sprung short-bed trucks; works with factory helper air, not factory dedicated air ride)

Fits leaf-sprung short-bed 4th and 5th generation Ram 3500 trucks. Works on trucks with factory helper air; does not fit trucks with factory dedicated (rear) air ride.
