UCF Jeep TJ Back-Half Kit

TJ rear frame rails narrowed to clear shocks.

This Wrangler TJ back-half kit swaps out the rear frame, from the up-sweeping section ahead of the rear tire to the bumper. Narrowing the rails 1.5" per side helps clear shocks of all types, and the kit makes a flat plane for wheelbase stretches.

Construction and specs

• Pair of 3/16" steel frame rails
• Pair of 1/8" thick body-mount crossmembers
• 1/4" thick steel bumper
• Four 3/16" steel reinforcing plates that weld on either side of the back-half frame rails and the factory frame rails

What's included: two frame rails, two body-mount crossmembers, the rear bumper and four reinforcing plates.

Install notes

• This kit requires a 1" body lift, on a YJ as well as a TJ or LJ.
• Ships unassembled and must be welded up by the installer before installation.

Finish: ships raw, with no paint or powder coat, so you can finish it however you like.

Fitment: confirmed vehicles

• Jeep: Wrangler TJ 1997–2006 · Wrangler YJ 1987–1995 (for YJs converting to coilover or ORI strut suspension, the YJ kit is for keeping leaf springs)
