UCF Mid-Width Aluminum Front Bumper for Jeep Wrangler JK, JL & JT

The UCF Mid-Width Aluminum Front Bumper for Jeep JK, JL or JT is a great option for those that want more protection than most other companies offer.  This bumper is 60" wide and weighs less than 50 lbs. including the tow points and winch tray. 

We were able to keep the wweight to a minimum with intelligent material selections. The winch mounting system is made from fully supported (reinforced with welded flanges and bends) 3/16" carbon steel plate. The d-ring mounts are 3/4" thick and welded to 3/8" mounting plates. The bumper body is made from 3/16" 6061-T6 aluminum hard plate. We used large radius tooling to make all the bends on the bumper body for added strength and style. Any manufacturer using 6061-T6 aluminum must use large radius tooling to avoid material fracture during the bending process. We have seen several companies that make this claim, yet they bend their parts with sharp tooling. This simply isn't possible.

The bumper extends and is fastened to the lower cross-member to provide protection for the factory electric sway-bar disconnect on the Rubicon model. The bumper is held onto the frame with 16 bolts.

Our bumper holds the winch very close to the grill. It's only about 1/2" forward of the grill itself. Every effort was made to ensure that approach angles were as great as possible.

The grill air openings are unobstructed by the winch.  You will need to relocate the vacuum pump for the variable valve timing when installing this bumper on late model Jeeps.
