UCF Ford 8.8" Rear Truss System

Ford 8.8" rear truss for custom link builds.

This Ford 8.8" rear axle truss gives a custom link suspension somewhere strong for the upper links: a 4 1/2" x 10" platform tied to the tubes and diff cover. Your welds go on the tubes, not the cast steel housing.

How it goes together

1. Weld the included tab to the included Ford 8.8" cover, then install the cover.
2. Set the truss body on the axle tubes.
3. Bolt the truss flange to the cover and weld the truss to the tubes.

Specs

• Link tab platform: 4 1/2" × 10"
• Platform to axle tube centerline: 6 1/2" (measured on 3.25" Explorer tubes; it will measure slightly differently on smaller Ranger tubes)
• Truss body: 1/2" carbon steel plate, heavy enough for any amount of horsepower
• Flange tying the truss to the cover: 3/8" steel plate, joined with 1/2" hardware

What's included: truss body, UCF Ford 8.8" heavy-duty diff cover with weld-on tab, diff cover hardware, and the 1/2" bolts and nuts that attach the truss to the cover.

Finish: ships as bare steel, so you can weld it on, place your link tabs and weld it all up.

• Ford: Bronco 1983–1996 · E-150 Econoline 1983–1998 · Explorer 1991–2001 (4-door with the solid rear axle) · Explorer Sport 2001–2003 · Explorer Sport Trac 2001–2005 · F-150 1983–2014 (10-bolt 8.8 only; many have the 12-bolt 9.75in, 2015+ trucks do not fit) · Mustang 1986–2014 (v8 models, most V6 and 4-cyl cars have the 7.5in) · Ranger 1991–2011 (10-bolt 8.8 only, 4.0L and some 3.0L; 4-cyl trucks have the 7.5in)
• Mazda: B4000 1994–2010 (10-bolt 8.8 only)
• Mercury: Mountaineer 1997–2001

Tube size: saddles cut for axle tubes up to 3.38" diameter. Measure your tubes before ordering.
